Mind What Matters
a national nonprofit supporting family caregivers
In 2020, I founded Mind What Matters, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting family caregivers. Inspired by my own experience caring for my mother during her journey with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, I witnessed firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll caregiving can take. I also came to personally understand how often caregivers place their own well-being last.
Through respite care grants, education, advocacy, and honest conversations, Mind What Matters exists to remind caregivers that their health matters, too. Since its founding, the organization has awarded more than 300 respite care grants to caregivers across 42 states, providing families with the opportunity to rest, recharge, and continue caring for the people they love.
Beyond financial support, Mind What Matters is committed to changing the conversation around caregiving and mental health. Through our podcast, educational initiatives, and partnerships, we work to reduce stigma, encourage meaningful dialogue, and ensure caregivers know they are never alone.
Every caregiver deserves support. Every story deserves to be heard. And every act of care begins by remembering to mind what matters.
